Alfredo Sauce

Most sauces can be made pretty quickly, but this one is the easiest to make, and add / modify to your liking. It is a quick sauce that requires little effort, and can be made with most ingredients you already have. You can modify the recipe to use fresh herbs, and garlic, or change it up and use spices from the shelf!

Ingredients:

1 stick of butter

1/2 to 1 spoonful of Garlic

1 pint heavy cream

1 Tbsp Italian seasoning

1/2 stick of cream cheese

1 cup (+) Parmesan Cheese

Salt pepper to taste

***the key to a perfect White sauce is continuously stir!!!!

In saucepan over medium heat add the butter and melt, once melted add the garlic, stir for a few minutes and add the Heavy cream, and Italian seasoning. Stir stir stir! Add in the Cream cheese, increase the heat to medium high to bring to a slow boil.  add the Parmesan to help thicken up the sauce. add salt and pepper to taste. and perfection!

The nice thing about the white sauce is you can modify it from here to your liking. For instance I like Chicken, my Girlfriend likes Broccoli and Cook #2 likes peppers etc. so once your sauce is made you can add anything in you like to make your own Fettuccine Alfredo, or you can use it as a base for many additional recipes by just removing the Parmesan.
